Breakout for TRAQ 3D

“Breakout” is a clone of the classic arcade game designed for playing on the Trazer interactive fitness system under freelance contract for TRAQ 3D. Players control the game by running and jumping side to side.

A friend on my hall freshman year approached me one day and asked if I wanted to help him make a game for a freelance contract.  Since I loved games and programming, and I could of course use the money, I joined up with him.  I ended up working out the control code; I had a blast doing it!

The game is now playable in any TRAQ 3D fitness center, and is also being used to demonstrate the system at fitness conventions.

I made this game with fellow Georiga Tech students Cory Johnson and Holden Link in a development time of about a month, most of which was spent getting the game to run with the Trazer hardware. Our success working together led to the formation of our independent game studio.
